Wellness in the mountains

The "wellness in the mountains" tradition is still alive in the Dolomites and Trentino South Tyrol regions. This region of Italy has a very old tradition of wellness and hospitality. An example is the mountain resort of Villabassa, which could be comfortably reached by train from Vienna and Munich already in 1871. Wellness in the mountains is based on physical activity outdoors in winter and in summer, but also on the therapeutic use of natural ingredients such as hay, milk, whey, wool and so on. Other "wellness in the mountains" elements are phytotherapy and aromatherapy.
